Terms of sale and refunds

These terms apply when you buy the Group 3 No-Material-Risk File ("the kit") from Group 3 Kit, run by Ransom Designs AU, a sole trader based in Queensland, Australia ("we", "us"). Contact: ransomdesignsau@mail.grokbot.com.

1. What you're buying

The kit is a set of digital files: Excel workbooks, Word templates and, in the Board Edition, a PDF guide and board document templates. The contents of each edition are listed on the sales page. Nothing physical is shipped.

2. Not advice

The kit and this website are general information only. They are not legal, accounting, tax or assurance advice and don't take account of your circumstances. Whether your entity has no material climate-related financial risks or opportunities is a judgement for your entity and its directors, based on your own facts. You should confirm your approach with your auditor and your own legal or accounting adviser before relying on it. We are not your adviser or auditor and buying the kit doesn't create an adviser–client relationship.

The kit reflects the law and sources as we checked them on the "last verified" date shown in the files. Laws, standards and guidance change. Items marked "proposed" or "pending" are not law.

3. Price and payment

Prices are shown in Australian dollars and are paid once at checkout. Ransom Designs AU is not registered for GST, so no GST is charged. Payments are processed by Stripe. We don't see or store your card details. If you'd like to pay by invoice, email us before buying.

4. Delivery

We email the files to the address you give at checkout within one business day (Queensland business days) of payment, from ransomdesignsau@mail.grokbot.com. If you haven't received them, check your junk folder and then email us.

5. Updates

If the law or official guidance changes within 12 months of your purchase in a way that affects the kit, we'll email you updated files at no extra cost. We aim to do this within a reasonable time after the change is published.

6. Licence: how you can use the files

• Essentials: for use by one entity or one consolidated group.
• Board Edition: for use by up to 3 related entities in the same group.
• Advisor licence: for use by an accounting or advisory firm with its own clients for 12 months, on terms we agree with you by email.

You can edit the files and use your completed documents in your own reports and board papers. You can't resell, share or publish the kit, or the blank templates, as a product of your own.

7. Refunds and your consumer rights

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If the kit has a major failure, for example the files are faulty, can't be opened, or are significantly different from the description, you can choose a replacement or a refund. If the problem is minor, we'll fix it or replace the files within a reasonable time.

If you were charged but didn't receive the files, email us and we'll send them or refund you.

Because the kit is delivered digitally and can't be returned, we don't usually give refunds if you simply change your mind, find a cheaper option elsewhere, or bought the wrong edition. If you bought the wrong edition, email us within 14 days and we'll try to help, for example by letting you upgrade by paying the difference.

To ask for a refund or replacement, email ransomdesignsau@mail.grokbot.com with your order email address and what went wrong. Approved refunds go back to the original payment method.

8. Our responsibility

Apart from your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which we don't exclude, and to the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from how you use the kit or from decisions made using it, including regulatory or audit outcomes. Where the law lets us limit our liability, it's limited to supplying the files again or refunding what you paid.

9. General

These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia. We may update these terms. The version in place when you bought applies to your purchase.
